Welcome to my "whimsical" jewelry store. My name is Carolyn Drew and I've been making artisan jewelry for ... well, let's just say for more than 30 years on the Chesapeake Bay. Actually I don't make it ON the bay which would be very wet, but very close to it. My education over the years includes silver and gold solder, lampwork (hand-formed glass by torch), wirework, kumihimo (ancient Japanese braiding art) and beading. I'm always searching for unique/weird items to include in my art. Each jewelry piece is an original. I never make, or even attempt to make, anything twice. The lampwork glass is always slowly cooled in a temperature controlled kiln to prevent cracking. I enjoy working with sterling silver, pewter, gold, semi-precious stones, natural minerals, lampwork glass, crystals and whatever else strikes my fancy.
